Heart rate 160?

I am wondering something. I am 35 and had a heart rate of about 160 bpm. This started right after surgery. They brought it down with beta-blockers. This never happened before.

After this I had it every month, It has not returned for about 1 year with no meds.

I did see a regular M.D, Electrophysiologist,Cardiologist

and wore a heart monitor for 30 days, did lots of EKGs etc.

Three years later it started again so I saw a Cardiologist and

used a Heart monitor for 30 days again. Did a EKG and an Echo, They both found a normal heart and valve without wolf parkinsons(this was my main concern)They assured me nothing was wrong. No heart problem.

I went to an emergency room once and a lady doctor, gave

me a drug to stop my heart and restart it, the worst experience of my life, because It actually got faster.

I pleaded with her to give me a beta blocker.

I truly believed if I had took another dose of the heart drug

denisin(not sure if that is exactly right) I wouldn%26#039;t be here.

help!

Heart rate 160?

Thats one of my pet peeves about health care in this country. Too many doctors throw up their hands and say I dunno when they can%26#039;t find the problem. Although your heart may be fine, there are dozens of outside influences on the heart that can be causing this. Do not settle for living with this the rest of your life. Try another doctor, and if that doctor is not to your liking, try another, and another, until one fixes this. Doctors are people like you and me. Some are great, others are just putting in 8 hours a day. Sounds like you got some bad docs. Find one that cares. If you could find a D.O. that specializes in cardiac problems, they are sometimes better at %26quot;looking out of the box%26quot;. Sounds like everyone has looked at your heart, but you didn%26#039;t mention any EEG%26#039;s , medulla, or any vagus nerve studies, etc. Look for causes outside the heart that can affect the heart. Hope you find a better doc.

### Of course anxiety can cause that. %26quot;Fight / Flight response%26quot;.. adrenal dump., stress, etc ...etc..

Heart rate 160?

Have you ever tried to detox your body ? Colon Clense ? My father suffers from a-flutter . When you hear beats out of control and they wanted to paddle him to start his heart all over again and he went the natural way taking Neclotides . If interested I will get the info from him for you . It worked and he is doing great .Your really need to find a cardiologist that you trust and stay continued with them . I am in NJ . I have a great one .

Heart rate 160?

wow my wife had to take that drug that stops your heart i had to watch her die and then come back its a horrible thing.

our cardiologist told us she had atrial flutter, it happens after heart surgery, but in time goes away i think it took a year for my wife, but after they stopped her heart it didn%26#039;t work either, so the gave the beta blockers and it didn%26#039;t work, finally they had to knock her out and then hit her with the defibrillator and that was the last time she had that problem. I also know that some meds and herbs can cause this also make sure your doctor knows everything you take no matter how simple it seems
